About Waloogle

The first search engine for the Walrus decentralised web.

What it does

Waloogle discovers, indexes, and makes searchable every website hosted on the Walrus decentralised storage network on Sui.

Every Walrus site is a Sui object — which means they're all enumerable on-chain. Waloogle reads the Sui blockchain to find them, fetches their content, and builds a searchable index. No link graph. No PageRank cold start. Just a comprehensive index of everything that exists.

How it's built

IndexStored on Walrus as a single JSON blob, updated by the crawler
SearchRuns entirely in your browser — no server, instant results
CrawlerCloudflare Worker reads Sui on-chain, fetches via wal.app portal
BoostsOn-chain Sui contract — pay SUI to surface your site

The index itself is stored on Walrus. The frontend is a Walrus site. The boost registry is a Sui smart contract. There's no central server anywhere in the stack.

Boosting your site

Site owners can pay SUI to surface their site at the top of relevant search results for a fixed period. Payment goes directly to the Waloogle treasury. No token required — open to any Sui wallet.

Who built this

Waloogle was built by the Ancient Order of Absurdity — the team behind aOOa, SealedMail, and MantraRay. It exists because the Walrus ecosystem needed it and we were positioned to build it.

Waloogle is an independent product. It serves the whole Walrus ecosystem, not just aOOa projects.

Add your site

Sites are discovered automatically from the Sui blockchain. If your site has a SuiNS name registered, it will be found and indexed on the next crawl.

Add a llms.txt file to your site root for a more accurate description in search results.
